music, in performance, is a type of sculpture. the air in the performance is sculpted into something. - frank zappa. first before we start talking about our first release in our new serie called sculptures we would like to say to you what is it all about. sculptures is a special 5 part serie symbolicaly representing 5 years of existence of jesus loved you label that is coming up this year. it will be consisted of 5 different releases with a new fresh approach to music that will our label represent, with a warmer twist shaking grooves. basically how we would say, tracks that we heard and love to have them on vinyl.

alain ho aka dj yellow is one of the electronic music artists who established himself as one of the forward thinking artists in general. in the eighties dj yellow pushed forward french hip hop and he also had big influence on what french house music is today. with his label yellow productions (founded 1993 with his mate bob sinclar) he released artists like salome de bahia, dimitri from paris, joe clausell, bang bang and kid loco. with his second imprint poussez music (founded in 2003) he created an outlet for his own sounds.
the ep features the first official release of the title track (now properly mixed and mastered, with a shouted hook from izza kizza) as well as a hyperactive juke remix of crookers anthem knobbers by dj gant man, and two incredible takes on the follow-up cudi collab embrace the martian courtesy of uk beat maestro seiji.

upon yous first release of black gold in 2010 is a compilation shared by the cheapers, mathias mesteno, channel x and onno. the cheapers have given us a track that is slightly more technoide than what we have become used to, with an absolute bass beast called madame sans merci on a1. mr. mesteno has given us the second part of tante dunkel (once again paying homage to one of copenhagens most illustrious night creatures) with this house track. the first part was released on our last home sweet home compilation. after flipping the vinyl, b1 unveils channel xs last offering before releasing their debut album on stil vor talent”in the beginning of 2010, making us all the more pleased about this dependable club track. b2 is reserved for our dutch colleague onnos kicking tech house track that shows that upon you know how to start out the new year in the right way
